Our Story
An atelier of quiet rituals
The weathered finish of open-grain timber, the coarse softness of North Bengal jute, the raw earthiness of hand-thrown clay.
These textures are a direct conduit to a rich heritage that invites slow discovery — a heritage that is cultural, historical, and elementally raw.
Our journey tracing its lineage led us deep into the quietest corners of India, where master craftspeople weave their distinct signatures into everything they touch. Our interactions with them left us with a deep appreciation for honesty, patience, and sheer skill honed through generations.
It is an incredible privilege to bring their timeless work into spaces across the country — and that is why hōma atelier exists.
Whether it is clay thrown by Ramesh Anna, the third-generation potter from Karnataka who still uses the very wheel his own grandfather built, or Neihna, the Chizami weaver from the Angami tribes of Nagaland who weaves magical Chizami textiles on her back-strapped loom — we want you to know them through the imprint they leave on time itself.
Just as they welcomed us into their courtyards, we'd like to say:
Welcome to the atelier. Stay as long as you like.
